Organic Cacao Butter
Organic Cacao Butter is the source of all cacao (cocoa) products. It is the pure, cold-pressed oil of the cacao bean. Cacao butter consists of healthy fats including essential omega fatty acids. The cacao butter can be easily melted, which makes it a perfect addition to your favorite smoothie, dessert, ice cream or chocolate creation.
Our cacao beans are hand selected and only the finest quality and flavour will be sourced to make our delicious organic cacao butter. Our Peruvian cacao farmers follow strict organic growing and processing guidelines to provide the best (organic) quality possible.
To make cacao butter, our farmers first extract the beans from the fruit. Then they are washed an purified with water. Then the ground milled cacao beans are pressed to make a cacao paste. This process makes sure that the thick and creamy butter is separated from the powder. All processes take place at low temperatures which ensures that the quality stays best. No chemicals are added during any process. Organic cacao butter is an excellent source of omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. It also contains antioxidants an several nutrients.
A special treat of cacao butter – which makes it so unique – is that it can also be used as a moisturizer or blended into soaps and lotions. So you cannot only eat it, but also apply it to your skin to give it the best treatment possible.
